Plot:

After Elizabeth (Keira Knightly), Will (Orlando Bloom), and Captain Barbossa (Geoffrey Rush) rescue Captain Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp) from the the land of the dead, they must face their foes, Davey Jones (Bill Nighy) and Lord Cutler Beckett (Tom Hollander). Beckett, now with control of Jones' heart, forms a dark alliance with him in order to rule the seas and wipe out the last of the Pirates. Now, Jack, Barbossa, Will, Elizabeth, Tia Delma, and crew must call the Pirate Lords from the four corners of the globe, including the infamous Sao Feng (Chow-Yun Fat), to gathering. The Pirate Lords want to release the goddess Calypso, Davey Jones's damned lover, from the trap they sent her to out of fear, in which the Pirate Lords must combine the 9 pieces that bound her by ritual to undo it and release her in hopes that she will help them fight. With this, all pirates will stand together and will make their final stand for freedom against Beckett, Jones, Norrington, the Flying Dutchman, and the entire East India Trading Company.

Dengan layar yang super gede untuk ukuran Cineplex (makanya kan namanya megaplex!), gue cukup puas.

Kalo dilihat selintas aja sih, film ini emang pantas sebagai penutup dari trilogy film Pirates of The Caribbean (POTC). Tapi dengan ending yang sedikit ‘terbuka’, gue juga ngeh bahwa sebenernya film ini pamungkas dari episode sebelomnya POTC: The Dead Man’s Chest. Dan film ini memang di-shoot back to back. Yang gue tau sih awalnya 2 film POTC terakhir ini sebenernya memang satu kesatuan cerita dan script, tapi karena terbentur durasi ya kemudian jadi seperti yang dirilis ini.

Secara keseluruhan film ini pantas banget sebagai film pamungkas. Gue ngeliat sepertinya semua kemampuan dikerahkan dengan semaksimal mungkin untuk bikin film ini. Dari sisi action, special effect, kostum, jokes etc. Semuanya padat banget! Adegan tarung finale Flying Dutchman vs Black Pearl di pusaran air cukup memukau dengan semua sisi yang terasa ‘penuh’. Salut untuk Mr.Bruckheimer.

Ini film besar Hollywood yang paling memuaskan dari sekian film besar Hollywood terakhir yang gue tonton dalam 2 bulan terakhir ini (ceritanya sih gue ngga mau nyebut judul film lain yang kurang memuaskan, ngga enak aja dengan fans-nya :D. Yang sering baca review gue pasti udah nyandak deh :D).

Gue malah ngebandingin film ini dengan Star Wars Episode III yang juga cukup memuaskan.

Gue paling suka adegan Sparrow ber-monolog waktu masih terjebak di Chest bersama Black Pearl. Lokasi yang nyaris putih semua, ngingetin gue dengan beberapa adegan di film The Cell yang dibintangi Jennifer Lopez.

Dan ternyata gue juga liat Mr. Keith Richard ‘beraksi’ :D
